Programs

Our programs are designed to help people expand their horizons, master new skills, make new friends, and increase motor coordination. Most importantly, participants experience growth in self-confidence and independence that affects all aspects of an individual's life. Our services are open to all, regardless of type of disability or age. Our one-to-one ratio allows us to meet individual needs and abilities. Our goal is to help others reach their full potential.

Camp Alpine
During a weeklong stay, the Alpine campers learn a variety of skills in a nurturing environment. Activities include canoeing, hiking, swimming, outdoor games, sports, nature identification and much more.

Cross Country Ski Program
Alpine's adaptive Cross-Country Ski Program is offered at Russian Jack Park. Ski sleds are available for non-ambulatory skiers. As with the downhill program, multi-week sessions are offered. Equipment and personalized ski instruction is included.

Downhill Ski Program
After the snow flies, Alpine participants put on skis. Whether it be mono-skis, sit skis or outriggers, we have the adaptive equipment to serve all needs. Multi-week sessions at Hilltop Ski Area are offered. Skiers receive for their use: equipment, lift tickets, and personalized instruction from Alpine instructors and volunteer "ski buddies".

Equestrian Program
People of all ages have an opportunity to participate in Alpine's adaptive equestrian program. We offer sessions for adults and youth. Our eight-week-long program teaches riding skills and the care and grooming of horses in Anchorage, Peters Creek and Palmer.

Day Outings Program
Take a trip with us to the Pyrah's Pioneer Peak Farm, the Alaska Zoo, or perhaps prospecting at the Crow Creek Mine. Enjoy taking a hike on the Coastal Trail or canoeing at Nancy Lake. Our Day Outing Programs take you where the fun is!
